Quick Fire Five

1. Favourite paint colour?

Cliched I know, but there are just so many gorgeous colours out there now. I definitely lean towards soft muted colours but I do love an unexpected pop of bolder colour to add some fun too.

2. Must have interiors accessory?

Plants, plants and more plants. They look fab, clean the air and bring in the nature – we all need them in our lives.

3. Signature interiors move?

A tricky question as I pride myself on designing homes that suit the personalities of the owners first and foremost.

4. Go to interiors brand?

I’m clearly not minimalist in my approach as again there are so many fab interiors brands out there. High end is me coveting Tom Raffield lighting right now, and then high street ranges from H&M (surprisingly good accessories) and Next (check out their latest N Premium range which has Soho House vibes all over it).

5. Interiors pet peeve?

Chopped cushions. Why?

Four Insider Insights

1. Give us the scoop on your first interior design job & how much you made?

My first ‘proper’ job was for a friend in Kennington. I worked alongside an Architectural firm and we refurbished and extended an end of terrace Victorian house.

It was a massive learning curve and so much fun. Also made easier by the trust the clients had in my getting their taste right for them.

It was ‘mates rates’ but the education I received was worth it. And the best bit – it’s still holding its own 7 years later.

2. Biggest regret or mistake?

Not taking the plunge with my pivot into Interior Design sooner. And in terms of mistakes – I would say measure, measure and measure again!

3. Biggest achievement or learning to date?

Growing my business year on year and the joy I get from supporting people on their own home journeys. I never knew how much I love helping! And as everyone is unique it never gets boring.

4. What’s next for your business?

This year’s focus is on reviewing and bedding in my marketing so I can keep moving in the right direction and being able to get out there designing homes as much as possible.
