Contemporary, clean lines, neutral base with pops of colour.

Casamance and Misia for fabric and 1st Dibs for everything else 🙂

Clutter, fabric clashing, I need calm in my spaces.

Four Insider Insights
1. Give us the scoop on your first interior design job & how much you made?
Working for a Mum at my daughters primary school, designing two bedrooms for them. I drew everything by hand, as they taught us in design school and even had a physical mood board with my fabrics carefully mounted on card, it took hours and hours, but I was so proud 🙂
I think I made a negative amount on that job as I charged so little and then spent it all on photographs and marketing.
2. Biggest regret or mistake?
Not separating my love of design from the fact this is a business. Running a business is hard and you have to make tough decisions.
As a creative I under-sold myself for a long time and it took hard lessons to realise my worth in terms of projects, clients and the industry as a whole.
3. Biggest achievement or learning to date?
Setting up United in Design with my wonderful friend Sophie Ashby, has been the biggest achievement and is a source of great pride.
I have also learnt to trust my own instincts and to move forward with purpose, focus and integrity. I want to design and love it, but I don’t want to lose sight of myself and who I am in the process.
4. What’s next for your business?
Big things. I have a new focus and approach. Our aims are for the brand to not only create stunning residential projects but we are actively moving into the hospitality and commercial sectors, alongside developing more presenting work on TV, collaborations and finally a product line.
